Career
History:

Computer Technician | Tutor | Consultant
Self-Employed, Heart of the Black Hills, SD
1995 - Present

  • Troubleshooting | Problem-Solving | Deployment | Installation | Repair | Upgrading
  • Since I started college, nearly 20 years ago, I have been helping others with their computer woes. I once taught myself a CAD program in a day so I could teach someone else how to use it that same day. I have taken computers apart and rebuilt them, both desktops and laptops. I have helped people fix their internet, devirused many a machine and got their systems working like they want again. I am sure I can do the same for you.

    Bartender

    2014

  • Served Drinks | Waited Tables | Cleaned Bar | Stocked Bar | Closed Tills
  • I was given nothing but praise in my time working here. I had never worked as a bartender before but I quickly found myself happily mixing and serving drinks, pouring beer and keeping the bar stocked. I learned a lot working as a bartender and could easily see myself doing this work again.

    Dishwasher & Prep Cook
Rico's Mexican Restaurant, Hill City, SD
    2013

  • Washed dishes | Prepped Food | Bused Tables | Waited Tables
  • I was the go-to girl while I worked at Rico's. When I wasn't washing dishes, I was helping to prep food, bus tables and any other duty that needed done. Liz, the owner, knew that she could always count on me to jump up & help, as needed. I helped keep the place running smoothly.

    Movie Extra
    National Treasure: Book of Secrets
    , Keystone, SD
    2007

  • Extra | Movie Work | Crew
  • I spent a long, great day as an extra on this movie, while they filmed at Mt Rushmore. If you look really hard at the end of the movie, you might see the back of my head. I got to walk next to the stars, including Nick Cage, over and over again that day. Talk about fulfillment at work!

    2003 - 2004

  • Multiline Phones | 10-Key | Phone Surveys | Collected Data | Data Mining | Research
  • While here, I spent my days cold-calling people across the country, in order to do surveys. Most of the surveys I did were political or business-related. Yes, I was the person calling you at dinner to do a "short survey" that you most often hung up on.

  • Tech Support | Phone Support | Assisted Customers | Signed Up New Customers
  • In my career, my favorite boss of all would have to be my boss at SaberNet because he made working here fun. I cherish all the hours I worked here. I also enjoyed working in an environment where I was largely unsupervised. I took phone calls and email messages, answering customer's internet concerns and signing up new customers.

  • Interests &
    Hobbies:

I enjoy spending my free time on social media sites like twitter & facebook, watching scifi/fantasy tv shows & movies, reading books, researching subjects of interest, writing poetry and songs, singing (especially karaoke) and doing family genealogy. When I can afford it, I love world travel, especially to ancient archaeological sites, to see amazing architecture/art and to visit amusement parks, like Six Flags and Disneyland. I keep myself amped up by drinking Yerba Maté and doing affirmations, visualization and EFT. I am a solver of problems and a seeker of truth.

Personal Note: Any gaps in my resume were spent raising my daughter, looking for work & finding myself.
